Congratulations to Team Lavallee who scored an 8-Ender on Sunday, February 2, 2025 in the Eagle Men's Curling League vs Team Millar at the Friendly Fort.
8-Enders are a very rare commodity for curlers, most of which will never experience one in their lifetime of curling.
This is the first 8-Ender for skip Earl Lavallee who has curled with the Eagle Men's Curling League for 50 plus years now. Amazingly, third Brian Cummins is now celebrating his third 8-Ender having attained one at Elmwood, Morris and now the Fort Garry curling clubs.
All four gentlemen will receive 8-Ender acknowledgment certificates, patches and pins from Curl Manitoba / Curl Canada.
Skip Scott Millar who conceded the 8-Ender to Lavallee couldn't be happier for him. Both gentlemen curl on the same team in the Fort Garry Thursday evening league. "If it had to happen to me, I'm glad it was Earl and I am happy for him." That's what the Eagle Men's Curling League is all about. The friendship, comradery and laughs for curlers of all ages and skill levels. The Eagles league has been a staple league at the Friendly Fort for decades and curls every Sunday morning at 9:30 am with new members always welcome!!!
From L to R - Ward McVey(lead), Greg Kufley(2nd), Earl Lavallee(skip), Brian Cummins(3rd)
